What we collect
We collect information you provide when creating and using an account: your name, email address, authentication records, Kindle Send-to-Kindle address, delivery preferences, and confirmation that you approved our sending address with Amazon.
When the extension is paired, we store a hashed device token, extension version, and last-seen time. We also receive your X account identifier and handle, the identifiers and content of the X Articles found in your recent bookmarks, their authors and source links, plus limited sync and delivery diagnostics.
Your X session stays in Chrome.
The extension uses Chrome's cookies permission to read X's CSRF cookie locally and make requests as the X session already open in your browser. Your X password, session cookies, and CSRF token are never sent to or stored by X Articles to Kindle.

How we use information
We use this information only to provide and protect the service:
- pair the extension with the correct account;
- find and display recent X Article bookmarks;
- avoid duplicate processing and schedule new eligible Articles;
- render Article content and supported images into an EPUB;
- email the EPUB to the Kindle address you provide;
- show send status and investigate sync or delivery failures; and
- prevent abuse and maintain service security.
We do not sell, rent, or use personal data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes. We do not use Article content or reading activity to train AI models.
Service providers and destinations
We share information only with processors needed to operate the service: Vercel for application hosting, Neon for database hosting, Inngest for background jobs, and Resend for email delivery. These providers receive only the information needed for their role.
X is the source from which the extension retrieves the bookmarks and Articles available to your signed-in account. Amazon's Send-to-Kindle service is the destination you ask us to contact; Amazon receives your Kindle address and the EPUB attachment under its own terms and privacy practices.
X Articles to Kindle is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp., Amazon, or Kindle.
Storage, retention, and deletion
Browser-side pairing information, recent Article candidates, and sync state are stored in Chrome extension storage. You can remove this local data by uninstalling the extension or clearing its data.
Account settings, Article source data, generated reading metadata, and delivery history are stored while your account is active so the service can prevent duplicates, support resends, and diagnose failures. Provider-managed backup copies may remain until their normal backup retention periods expire.
You may request deletion of your account and associated service data using the developer contact address shown on the Chrome Web Store listing. We may retain narrowly limited records when required for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Your choices
- Automatic Kindle delivery can be turned off in Settings.
- You can choose Articles manually from the dashboard.
- You can revoke a paired extension device from your account.
- You can uninstall the extension to stop all browser access.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
Kindle is a one-way destination. We record that a document was sent, but Amazon does not provide us with a reliable way to know whether it remains in your Kindle library or was deleted there.
Security, children, and policy changes
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Device credentials are stored as one-way hashes on the server, access is scoped to the paired account, and service providers are given only the access necessary to perform their functions. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
The service is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change; the effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
Our handling of extension user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Use the developer support contact shown on the X Articles to Kindle Chrome Web Store listing. Please never include an X password, session cookie, or other authentication secret in your message.
